What drew you to this medium? I took a ceramics class and made this for class.
Why are you drawn to this subject? Most of the things I make are functional (think glasses and bowls). This is a decorative piece's form is based off of ancient Indian Art from the Indus Valley. I added a contemporary element with geometric sheep.
What Does Your Artwork Represent? It represents monotony and how things all look the same on the surface often, but that things are not the same (this aspect is represented by the color of the piece).
What Inspires You? Current Events. All of my art is based off of what is going on in the world and what is going on at Centre today.
What connection do you have to your art? The form is inspired by a similar ancient piece from India (where I am from).
