Abstract
Art history is the historical study of the visual arts—necessarily interdisciplinary and sometimes multidisciplinary, art historians engage in research from a variety of perspectives to make sense of the past and present through visual evidence. In a world where we are increasingly bombarded by visual material, understanding how to interpret images is essential. In this session, we will demonstrate the diverse methods involved in art historical scholarship and how our research prompts us to “see” in the world today.
